A couple of weeks ago me and a group of my friends jumped into a couple of cars and headed up north for a day at the beach. Nottingham is totally land locked and is pretty much in the middle of the country, so trying to figure out where the nearest beach was ended up being a bit of a feat in itself (two weeks later and we'd finally figured it out) So we got in the cars and headed up to Cleethorpes beach, although this happened to be after a detour to pick one of the squad up who'd rather hilariously slept in and through 15 missed calls and 5 facebook messages. But with all present and correct we got to the beach, we'd had many comments from people telling us it was a silly idea as the UK was poised for rain rain rain that day, yet somehow (Thanks God) the sun shone and shone and shone! It was that sunny that a couple of people got rather brilliant sunburn (hello human lobsters)
The most fun and amazing time was had by all, and it was exactly what I needed after a less than great week!
I took my DSL on the trip, and between the 8 of us took nearly 300 pictures, I've picked out some of my favourites and put together this photo diary to share some of the fun with you guys, and also for me to be able to look back on in the months and years to come!
