London Calling #2

Wednesday 6 February 2013

Hey everyone!
Well this is part two of my 'London Calling' post/feature! And as promised, it's a bit (lot) more about our little family trip to London at the weekend, and a life style post too!
We primarily went to London to go to see Cirque Du Soleil, me and my parents have seen it about 4 or 5 times now; but we got the tickets for my Grandparents. As a present for there Golden Wedding anniversary, and we decided we were going to go too! We wanted to see Cirque's newest show!
But the show didn't start until 3, so we had about 5 hours to kill! Normally if it was just me and my parents going we'd go to Kensington High street or Covent Garden, and go shopping and all that usual stuff! But because it wasn't just us three, we needed somewhere a bit more 'family' friendly, or versatile shall I say.
And boom! About two weeks ago i had an idea! The Natural History Museum! My grandparents like Museums, and all that 'lovely' stuff, and well, the NHM is the one with all the dinosaurs! And well, I LOVE LOVE LOVE dinosaurs, so that would be me happy. After a chat with ma mere, a phone call to my grandparents and a check online to figure out the distance between the Natural History Museum and the Royal Albert Hall, we were all set to go!
And go we did! We went to the Natural History Museum, and saw the dinosaurs! EEEEEEP!!!! Yep, I was that exited! We had a bit of a wonder around the museum; then went into the photography exhibition. Every year they have the 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year' competition, and luckily the exhibition was still on whilst we were there. So we had a rather nice gander around that, looking at all the crazy, pretty, beautiful, weird, horrible, amusing and wonderful photographs. Which you can check out here.
We had some lunch, then made our way to the Royal Albert Hall, where Cirque Du Soleil was being performed! The pictures of my outfit from the day (post here) were taken outside.
Cirque Du Soleil is INCREDIBLE! There is literally no other word for it! If you haven't seen it, and get the opportunity or chance to, then do! There is nothing like Cirque Du soleil! It combines acrobatics, the circus, dare devil stunts, performance, art and much more to bring you one of the most amazing things you will ever see! For more info, go to there website. (here) Plus they have shows touring and stationed all over the globe, so you don't need to be in the UK or USA to see it! Which is awesome!
It's unbelievable and stunning, yet completely crazy. It's so so beautiful, yet at points you are utterly sure someone is going to die. And when I say that I'm not joking. I sat there biting my finger in worry, that one of the performers was going to fall of something called 'the wheel of death'! Google cirque du soleil wheel of death if you want to see what I'm talking about!
Anyhow, enough of my ramblings! Here are just a few pics from our little trip!
