Hey everyone! Hope your Tuesdays have been lovely so far! Mine consisted of getting absolutely drenched on the way to college and then trying to get my head around which parts of the five year plans (Russian history) I need to put in my history essay plan, in like less than 2 minutes whilst my teacher packed up.  Trust me it's even harder to get your head round than that last sentence. What was even more annoying though was that it was all nice and sunny when I came out of college! Yet chucked it down all the way there. But never mind I'm going to my friend's tonight, so that should be fun!
As you might have gathered from the last two post titles, all of my December posts up till Christmas are gonna be lyrics from Christmas songs! I know I'm sad right! Well never mind, because I love Christmas and I'm pretty sure I'm more exited than my 6 and 8 year old cousins!
Today I decided I was gonna dress, (slightly) appropriately for the weather. So I pulled out one of my jumpers and hit the road. I think this jumper was a Christmas present from last year (but don't quote me on that), and I absolutely love the colour! Its relatively easy to style and a great addition to my wardrobe. As I haven't got anything else in the same colour, even though my wardrobe is seemingly filled with similar creamy/monotony/pastelly colours and items. But never mind that, I'm sure I'll survive! The only issue is that it's a crop jumper, like a crop top but in jumper form. Which means that you have to wear something underneath, especially in the freaking freezing winter months.
Now my skirt is the part of my outfit that is the "(slightly)" part of dressing appropriately for the weather. Again I love the colour of the skirt, I think it's a great colour and again so easy to match with other items. However the style of the skirt, that really isn't so easy. It's literally one of the hardest things to wear EVER! As you can see from the pictures it has an elasticated waste band, and because of the fabric it hangs really close and hugs the top of your body/legs. This means A you have to find something that matches colour wise and B you have to find something that doesn't need tucking in as it makes the skirt stick out big style! It really doesn't look pretty!;) The second one is the problem, as I tuck a lot of my t-shirts/shirts into my bottoms, especially skirts, as you might be able to tell. Or they're just too long not to be tucked in. So this is pretty much the ONLY way I've found to wear this skirt, which isn't too great. But if you've got a skirt like this or any suggestions of how to style it, then let me know below!
How would you style a skirt like mine? Did you have any bad weather this morning? Are you exited for Christmas? What's your favourite Christmas song?
