Hey everyone! Sorry I've been a bit MIA this week. I've been rather busy with college and life. But I'm back! This is my outfit from Friday. I wore it both to college and when I went out in the evening.
Friday's weather was completely irratic, and rather like a teenage girl. Loves to change its mind! It chucked it down while I was on my way to college and I got absolutely drenched, and then when I left at half 3 it was mega sunny! I wish it would make it's mind up. But this week I had to make the decision about which coat to live in, and well my beautiful topshop leather jacket just didn't make the grade. It may be September but the weather has been constant April Showers, and my leather jacket doesn't have a hood or keep me covered. So the time came to switch coats, and I finally got a picture with my winter/rain coat of choice.
Its a beige and brown Henry Holland for Designers at Debenhams coat (in the third picture down). And tbh I love it too, although not as much as my leather jacket, I have to say! I can fit so much underneath it and it's perfecto for layering which is exactly what you want when it starts to get colder, I can pretty much wear it with everything too. Although if I wear it with skirts or shorts depending on there length it can look like I don't have anything but tights on underneath, which isn't too great really.
My vest top is one I got from Camden Market and was also featured here. I love the giraffe pattern, and it's one of those items that is mega easy to match with loads of other things too, which is ALWAYS a plus! My necklace is another Camden Market gem that I've featured in multiple posts now.
My jeans are one of those items, that always gives you a head ache in the nicest of ways. I needed a new pair of jeans around the time of the June sales, and in the end these River Island one's are what I came out with. I didn't just want a plain pair of coloured jeans, I wanted something patterned or a bit different. And well these fitted the bill perfectly. The stripes look a redish pinkish colour in the picture but they're actually an orange colour. I love the pattern with the stripes and fans on, and its completely different to anything else I'd seen or tried on. Plus when I got them they were in the sale, which made them cheaper at £20. The reason they give me a head ache is because of the colour and pattern they can be really hard to style with other items, without it looking like a big fat mess.
My cardigan is from Topshop, and is a really old one. But because of the colour it's great as it matches everything and is perfect when the weather is a bit irractic and you don't know whether it's gonna be sunny or cold or rainy. It's also great because its really soft and comfy and is just the right size to fit in your bag and carry around when needed.
Have you got a winter coat that you pull out every year? What do you think of patterned jeans? Do you have any?
